Resumen

En el presente artículo se abordan tres fotografías en blanco y negro pertenecientes a los fondos del Museo Tiflológico de la ONCE que, posiblemente, fueron realizadas para hacer un publirreportaje de una institución sobre la que no informan. Estas fotografías se encargaban para dar a conocer sus instalaciones, a los profesionales de la educación que trabajaban allí y exponer los logros con las últimas novedades con las que se contaba a principios del siglo XX con respecto a la educación de las personas ciegas. Este tipo de publirreportajes y folletos de propaganda se localizan en gran parte de los colegios europeos que acogían a este tipo de alumnado. En la actualidad, nos sirven como documentos históricos para analizar la didáctica, los profesores, los alumnos y las herramientas con las que contaban en esa época y que se muestran en estos tres únicos documentos gráficos que se conservan como testimonio de la instrucción de adultos ciegos.

Abstract

This article deals with three black and white photographs belonging to the ONCE's Typhlological Museum collections which might have been taken as part of a news report on an institution which is not identified. These photographs were commissioned to publicise its facilities and the teaching professionals who worked there, and to showcase the achievements with the latest developments that were available at the beginning of the 20th century with respect to the education of blind people. Reports and publicity leaflets of this kind can be found in most European schools that took in blind pupils. Nowadays, they serve as historical documents for analysing the didactics, teachers, pupils and tools existing at that time and which are shown in these three unique graphic documents that have been preserved as a testimony of the instruction of blind adults.
